"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths."
Trust is the foundation of every healthy relationship, including our relationship with God. Yet trusting Him can be challenging when life's circumstances don't make sense. We often want answers before we are willing to obey. God, however, calls us to trust Him even when we cannot see the entire path ahead.
The Bible is filled with people who learned this lesson. Abraham left his homeland without knowing his destination. Moses stood before the Red Sea with no visible escape. David faced Goliath armed with only a sling and unwavering faith. In every case, God honored those who trusted Him.
Trusting God does not mean ignoring reality or pretending difficulties do not exist. Rather, it means believing that God's wisdom is greater than our understanding and that His plans are always for our ultimate good. Even when we cannot trace His hand, we can trust His heart.
Sometimes God closes doors that we desperately want to walk through. At other times, He asks us to wait longer than we expected. These moments are not signs of His absence but opportunities to deepen our faith. Waiting on God is never wasted time; it is often where He shapes our character and prepares us for what lies ahead.
Today, consider the areas of your life where you have been relying on your own strength. Are you carrying burdens that God has invited you to place in His hands? He is faithful to guide those who surrender their plans to Him.
True trust is demonstrated not only by what we say but by how we live. Every act of obedience is an expression of confidence in God's goodness. As you acknowledge Him in every decision, conversation, and challenge, He promises to direct your path.
