"Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect."
One of the great promises of Scripture is that Jesus Christ will return. This promise gives believers hope and reminds us to live with eternal perspective.
The return of Christ is not meant to create fear in those who belong to Him. It is a promise of hope, restoration, and the fulfillment of God's plan. Jesus will return to gather His people and establish His kingdom.
However, His return also calls us to live faithfully today. Knowing that Christ could return at any time should motivate us to pursue holiness, serve others, and share His message.
We are not called to simply wait—we are called to work. Jesus told His followers to occupy until He comes. Our time, gifts, resources, and opportunities should be used for His purposes.
Every day is an opportunity to prepare our hearts. Are we walking closely with God? Are we loving others? Are we fulfilling the assignment He has given us?
The world encourages people to focus only on temporary things, but believers are called to remember eternity. Our choices today have eternal significance.
Live each day ready. Live each day faithful. Live each day with the expectation that our King is coming.

If Jesus returned today, would I be satisfied with how I have lived for Him?

Identify one thing God is calling you to do more faithfully as you prepare for His return.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, help me live with eternity in mind. Keep my heart faithful and my life focused on Your purpose. May I be ready and found serving You when You return. Amen.
