Revival That Makes Disciples

Matthew 28:19 (NKJV)

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations."

Revival is not complete when people gather, rejoice, and then return to unchanged lives. True revival produces followers of Jesus who continue growing in His Word and help others follow Him. Spiritual awakening should lead to spiritual maturity, obedience, and participation in Christ's mission.

A disciple does more than make a one-time decision. A disciple learns from Jesus, submits to His teaching, develops His character, and follows His example. Revival awakens the desire not only to experience God personally but also to introduce others to Him and help them become established in faith.

Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples, not merely attract crowds. Disciple-making requires patient relationships. New believers need people who will pray with them, explain Scripture, answer questions honestly, model repentance, and encourage them when following Jesus becomes difficult. This work is often quiet, but it produces lasting fruit.

Every believer can participate. You do not need a public platform, formal title, or perfect knowledge of the Bible. You need love for Jesus, faithfulness to the truth you understand, and willingness to invest in another person. As you continue learning, you can invite someone else to learn alongside you.

A revived church measures more than attendance. It looks for people whose relationships, priorities, and character are being transformed. It equips believers to pray, serve, share the gospel, and disciple others. Revival becomes sustainable when spiritual passion is joined with biblical truth, accountable relationships, and practical obedience.

Ask God to show you whom you can encourage. Begin with one person. Listen to them, pray for them, open Scripture together, and demonstrate what it means to follow Christ in ordinary life. Disciples who make disciples allow the fruit of revival to reach future generations.

Reflection

Am I intentionally helping anyone become a stronger follower of Jesus?

Application

Choose one person you can encourage spiritually. Invite them to read Scripture or pray with you regularly, and commit to walking with them faithfully.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, make me a faithful disciple of Jesus and use me to make disciples. Give me patience, wisdom, and sincere love for others. Help me model Your truth with humility and consistency. In Jesus' name, Amen.
