"It is time to seek the Lord, till He comes and rains righteousness on you."
Revival is not meant to be a brief season that we remember with nostalgia. God desires a people who remain spiritually awake, faithful, and expectant until Jesus returns. The goal is not merely to begin with passion but to continue walking with God through every changing season of life.
It is possible to start well and gradually become distracted. Responsibilities, disappointments, unanswered prayers, and delayed expectations can weaken our devotion. What once felt urgent can become familiar. Scripture therefore calls us repeatedly to watch, pray, persevere, and keep our first love alive.
Sustained revival requires daily dependence upon the Holy Spirit. Yesterday's encounter cannot replace today's obedience. We must continue seeking God, feeding upon His Word, gathering with believers, confessing sin, and responding to His voice. Spiritual fire is maintained through an ongoing relationship, not through memories alone.
Waiting for Christ is not passive. It means faithfully serving while we expect Him. We make disciples, care for the vulnerable, pursue holiness, use our gifts, and proclaim the gospel. The certainty of His return gives urgency to our mission and hope when faithfulness becomes costly.
Some seasons will feel powerful, while others will require quiet endurance. Faith is demonstrated in both. God is present in the public breakthrough and in the hidden act of obedience that no one notices. The believer who remains faithful in ordinary days is being prepared for eternity.
Do not allow weariness to extinguish your expectation. The One who promised to return is faithful. Keep your lamp burning, your heart surrendered, and your hands committed to His work. Seek the Lord until He comes, and let your whole life declare that Jesus is worthy.

If Jesus returned today, would He find me spiritually awake and faithfully serving?

Examine an area where you have grown weary. Ask God for fresh strength and take one renewed step of obedience today.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, keep my heart awake and faithful until Jesus returns. Guard me from distraction and spiritual weariness. Renew my strength and help me serve You with perseverance, purity, hope, and joy. In Jesus' name, Amen.
