The Christian life is a journey of continuous growth. When we surrender our lives to Christ, we begin a process of transformation that continues throughout our lifetime. God does not call us to remain spiritually unchanged; He invites us to grow deeper in our relationship with Him.
Just as a child grows physically and develops over time, believers are expected to grow spiritually. Growth requires nourishment, discipline, and commitment. A person cannot become strong without proper food and exercise. In the same way, our spiritual lives grow when we spend time in God's Word, prayer, worship, and fellowship.
Spiritual growth is not measured only by how much Bible knowledge we have. It is revealed through how much our lives reflect Christ. A growing believer becomes more loving, patient, forgiving, faithful, and obedient.
Growth also requires challenges. God often uses difficult seasons to strengthen our faith. Trials reveal areas where we need to depend on Him more. They develop perseverance and shape our character.
Sometimes we become discouraged because we compare our progress with others. But spiritual growth is personal. God is not asking you to become someone else; He is shaping you into the person He created you to be.
Every step toward God matters. Every prayer, every act of obedience, and every moment spent in His presence brings transformation.
Today, ask yourself not only, "How long have I been a Christian?" but also, "How much have I grown in my relationship with Christ?"
