Walking in Humility

Micah 6:8 (NKJV)

"And what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?"

Humility is a quality that God greatly values. It is not thinking less of ourselves; it is recognizing that everything we have comes from God.

Pride places ourselves at the center. Humility places God at the center.

Jesus displayed perfect humility. Though He was the Son of God, He chose to serve others. He washed His disciples' feet, welcomed sinners, and gave His life for humanity.

Humility allows us to receive correction, learn from others, and acknowledge our need for God. It opens our hearts to growth because we are no longer trying to prove ourselves.

Pride can prevent us from experiencing God's best because it makes us depend on ourselves rather than Him. But humility creates space for God's grace to work in our lives.

A humble person does not need constant recognition because they know their value comes from God. They serve faithfully even when nobody notices.

Walking humbly with God means surrendering our ambitions, submitting our plans, and allowing Him to lead us.

Reflection

Is pride preventing me from fully depending on God?

Application

Look for an opportunity today to serve someone without seeking recognition.

Prayer

Lord, create in me a humble heart. Remove pride and teach me to follow the example of Jesus. Help me walk with You in obedience, love, and humility. Amen.
