"Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you."
Life brings concerns that can weigh heavily upon our hearts. Responsibilities, financial pressures, family difficulties, and uncertainty about tomorrow can leave us feeling overwhelmed. God invites us to bring every concern to Him and rest in the assurance of His care.
To cast our care upon God means to entrust our burdens to Him. We acknowledge what troubles us and place it into His hands through prayer. We can speak honestly about our fears because we are approaching a Father who loves us.
Peter connects this invitation with humility before God. Sometimes we carry unnecessary anxiety because we believe everything depends upon our strength, wisdom, or ability to control events. Humility allows us to admit our limitations and receive the help God provides.
The reason we can surrender our concerns is simple: He cares for us. His interest in our lives is personal. He knows the matters we struggle to explain, the disappointments we hide, and the questions that keep us awake. We do not need to make our burdens sound important before bringing them to Him.
Entrusting our cares to God does not remove our responsibilities. We should still plan wisely, work diligently, seek counsel, and take appropriate action. However, we can do these things while trusting Him with the outcomes we cannot control. Prayer helps us approach our responsibilities with a steadier heart.
Sometimes anxiety returns after we have prayed. When it does, we can bring the concern to God again. Repeated prayer is an opportunity to renew our dependence upon Him. We can also receive His care through trusted people who listen, encourage, and help us carry difficult responsibilities.
Whatever is weighing upon you today, bring it before the Lord. Ask Him for wisdom concerning what you must do and grace to release what lies beyond your control. You are precious to Him, and you do not have to face your concerns alone.

Write down three things that are troubling you. Pray over each one, identify any practical step you need to take, and entrust what you cannot control to God.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for caring for me. I bring my worries, fears, and responsibilities before You. Give me wisdom to do what is required of me and help me entrust the outcome to You. Quiet my anxious heart and teach me to depend upon Your faithful love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
